Karen Clark

My name is Karen Clark. I am a happily married 38 year old wife to Dan and an at home - homeschooling mom of 6 (4 girls 2 boys) and now I am also pregnant with twins (2 more girls) on the way, needless to say I NEED to scrapbook often.

My love of having a large family, children all with uniquely  different personalities and emotions has also helped give me a variety of sb styles. I give preference to the pictures standing as the main focus but my "art" is shown throughout the layout as well. I love to teach  people that  scrapbooking is their own style of art just as how we decorate our homes. Some people like white walls and no fluff, some people have rugs, pillows and throws of various patterns everywhere. My mother was a big collector of the blue country ducks in her home. I really never liked those ducks! She  passed away a few years ago and now I treasure looking at pictures of her home with those ducks and her style. Can you imagine how I would love to see her style if she would have been a scrapbooker?

I want my children to see my style and my feelings as well as all of my changes throughout my life. This is my focus. To teach people various new techniques  so that they can  find their "inner style".   On top of being a scrapbooking instructor I also  have a project being published in  CorrespondenceART magazine and I am on 2 design teams.  I am going to love my time here at Legacy Paper Arts!

Wendy Chang

Hello.  My name is Wendy and I am proud to be a part of this wonderful design team.  I am a 34 year old mother of two, DS is 5, and DD is 3.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, Brian.

I've been informally scrapping all my life, putting memorabilia in books, but started scrapping in the acid free/lignin free way after DS was born.   I scrap for all of the normal reasons, wanting to preserve the memories for my family and future generations. That passion is fueled by the fact that I immigrated to the United States as a child, and we were not able to bring a lot with us when we moved.  I want to make sure I can preserve as much as we can remember, so future generations know where they came from, with as smooth of a transition between cultures as we can preserve.   Thank you.

Maria Gallardo-Williams

My name is Maria Gallardo-Williams, and I have been keeping some sort of journal/scrapbook for as long as I can remember. Five years ago, I visited a scrapbook store and there was no looking back...finally an outlet to showcase the millions of pictures of my kids that I was taking and room to journal, all in the same place!

My style is uncomplicated (which is not the same as simple) and colorful. I want to allow the pictures to shine and tell the story.

I live in North Carolina with my husband and two children, who are at the center of my scrapbooking obsession. When I am not working (I teach chemistry at NC State University) or scrapping, I love being outdoors gardening or caring for our many pets.

Laura Achilles

My name is Laura Achilles, I am a SAHM to my two wonderful daughters and have been married to my best friend for over 14 years.  I've been scrapbooking since 1998 when I realized how important it was to share with my daughters the rich legacy of their heritage.

When I'm not spending time with my family or scrapbooking  I work a  very part time job at my daughter's school as a teachers aide during the school year. I help tutor and assist students in 5th grade and help teach 2nd grade in phonics. I also enjoy the great outdoors here and frequently go hiking, taking my girls swimming or some other type of outdoor activity.

My favorite pastimes recently are scrapbooking (of course), reading, cooking, exercising and just being involved in my kids lives.  I'm thrilled to be a part of  team at Legacy Paper Arts.

Kathy Thompson Laffoley

My name is Kathy Thompson Laffoley and I live in beautiful New Brunswick, Canada with my husband Jim and our two daughters, Emma and Rebecca (along with assorted pets who sometimes end up on my pages too!). I have been scrapping for about 3 years now. I would say my style is linear and co-ordinated. I LOVE photography and am constantly trying to improve on that.  In my opinion, if you have a great photograph then you have the makings of a great scrapbook page!

I starting submitting my work for publication late last year and have been lucky enough to have pages/projects picked up by Women's Day, Paperkuts, Scrapbook Trends, Cantata Books, Memory Makers and most recently Paper Crafts.  I was also named 1 of 8 finalists in Paperkut's Powerteam 2006 contest!

I feel really lucky to be a part of this wonderfully talented design team and just love Melissa's great kits!

Erika Hayes

I am a mother of four amazing children, three fuzzy children, four feathery children and a wife to a very wonderful husband for 10 years.

My love of scrapbooking and stamping has pushed me to discover things about myself I never knew were possible. I read everything I can get my hands on to gain more knowledge about this incredible art. My passion for scrapbooking has driven me into areas I did not know I had a passion for, photography being one of the biggest.

I love to teach scrapbooking to anyone that is willing to listen. I spend hours in my scraproom going over with anyone the joys that this wonderful art has to offer. I scrapbook almost everyday. The only days I don't scrapbook are on days I am sick. All my children love to scrapbook and it has become a family event! I think it is safe to say, I am passionate about scrapbooking!

Sandra Liddell

I have been scrapbooking since middle school. In highschool, I spent a lot of time doing geneology. Finding out so much about my ancestors and their stories further fueled my desire to scrapbook so that their stories would not be lost.

My three passions in life are; my husband, my children and scrapbooking. Although, my husband would debate the order of that list. I love scrapbooking for both it's heirloom, family history side and as an artistic expression. Most of my pages are of my 2 wonderful children, but I often volunteer to do pages for neighbors so that I can work with different ages of subjects.

Geneology and sewing are my other favorite hobbies. I love being able to incorporate these hobbies into my albums.

Wendy Inman

Hello! My name is Wendy Inman and I'm from Virginia Beach , VA. I'm married to my best friend Bob and we have one incredible son Alex who was born May 7 th , 2002.

I've been scrapbooking for about 2 years or so and really love it. Since I quit my job as a programmer to be a SAHM, I have found this to truly be a creative and relaxing outlet. I consider my style to be simple and graphic in nature. I love to take inspiration from magazine ads, TV ads, and art. I also dabble a bit in Paint Shop Pro to make text and other effects for my pages.

I also enjoy improving my photography. This is a challenge considering I have a non-stop toddler as my subject and a slightly limited digital camera. I've been amazed at how much I have improved by just putting a few principles into practice.

I am fortunate to have upcoming published work in Scrapbook Trends, Paper Trends, Making Memories, and PaperKuts.

I am so excited to be a part of this team!

Sonia Pancratz

I enjoy scrapbooking life's adventures.  I love the outdoors and I find wonderful ideas for my pages by exploring nature.  I like pages that pop and grab the eye of the reader. I am eclectic and artistic in style, yet am continually branching out with new ideas and techniques that stretch my talents.  I love the shabby look and product {versus digital} use is my specialty. I feel I can make a variety of products work well together on a page and love varied texture. I do want to create for what the picture calls and most of my pictures call for lots of fun artistic embellishments!  I use artistic photography to tell the story, while preserving a "piece of the moment" for future years.  We all need to have a piece of something to help us preserve our memories....a beautiful photograph, a detailed story, and appropriate "background splash" are the perfect way to preserve a moment in our lives. Through this endeavor, I am hoping to inspire and  influence others to try new things and set themselves artistically free.

Amy Cutler

My name is Amy Cutler, 31, from beautiful central PA. I've been married to the love of my life, Joe,  for 10 years. We have two children, Joey, 9, and Jade, 7. We also have two dogs, Raven and Pepper.  I work full time out of the home which makes my family time and scrapping time precious to me.

I started scrapbooking when I was 14. I saved every single ticket stub, napkin, all sorts of memorabilia. My children love to look back at those scrapbooks. I started seriously scrapbooking again once my son was born. I found online scrapbook sites two years ago and have been addicted ever since.

I totally love every aspect of scrapbooking from taking the pictures to shopping (of course) to having a way to express my art. I try to keep all my pages “real” and let them reflect me and who I am.  I want my children to see I didn’t only document the cute times but the not-so-cute as well.

I finally felt comfortable enough to start submitting my work for publication the beginning of 2006.  I feel I have really grown more as a scrapper through the submission process.  I am fortunate that I will have layouts published by Cantata Books, BlueMedia and PaperART.  I am also on two other Design Teams.  I'm so excited and honored to be a part of the Design team at Legacy Paper Arts.
